Emrys Jones
It is with sadness that the Choir share the sad news that Former Chorister Emerys Jones has passed away. Emerys was a keen member of the T2 section of the Choir for Many years before being forced to retire due to continuing ill health. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. The funeral will be held on Monday 2nd March at 2.30 at Memorial Woodlands, Alveston, Nr Bristol. BS35 3TA

Steve Cooper
It is with sadness that BMVC share the sad news that former chorister Steve Cooper has sadly passed away following a difficult year and long spells in hospital with medical problems. Steve worked hard helping the choir as a dedicated committee member, as T2 rep and played a key roll in choosing the current uniform. Our thoughts are with his wife Lyn and family at this sad time.
The Funeral service will be on Thursday 12th February a t2 pm at Thornbury Baptist Church, Gillingstool, Thornbury BS35 2 EG.
There will be refreshments in the Church café after the service



Great Christmas with BMVC
With 5 concerts leading up to the big Day.It’s always good to be invited back and 4 out of 5 met that category this year.
First up was Penny Brohn Cancer Charity at Clifton College Chapel where £8,800 was made for the Charity.
Next Concert was for YTL, the company developing the Brabazon complex at the old Filton Airfield. It was a privilege to sing at a corporate event put on in newly refurbished ‘Spitfire Hanger’.
Third sing was at St Michael’s (Stoke Gifford’) Christmas Market to a packed Church Centre.
Next up was Walkers and Talkers at The Seat Unique Stadium Ashley Down where about 300 people crammed into the up stairs room to hear us sing Christmas songs and enjoy free Mulled Wine and Mince Pies.
The last sing of the year was at John Lewis (Cribbs) in aid of Southmead Hospital ‘Buskethon We (BMVC) raised almost £800 towards the £21,600 total raised at this years appeal, Great sing around lads, Happy New Year, and here’s looking forward to @026



Meeting with Bristol Lord Mayor
The Choir Trustees Malcolm Cheatham, Steve Williams and Steve Lewis had a very enjoyable and rewarding meeting with Bristol Male Voice Choir Patron The Lord Mayor of Bristol Councillor Henry Michallat at The Council Office this morning. We looked at ways of supporting each other and events that The Lord Mayor would be able to attend .
