New Members Welcome

If you are interested in joining the choir, a good first step would be to come to one of our rehearsals.

We meet every Thursday evening from 7.00 to 9.15 at St Andrew's Methodist Church, Elm Park, Filton, BS34 7PS  (It's a good idea to check before you turn up).
At the first rehearsal, you can just sit and listen or get involved straight away if you wish. If you read music, it's clearly an advantage, but we learn our music guided by our musical director, a great teacher, and all four parts are recorded individually and are accessible on your home computer. If you decide to join you will be allocated an experienced choir member that sings your part as your singing partner and mentor and you'll be asked by our MD to do a brief voice test that aims to place your voice in the tenors or basses according to your vocal range.

After a few months, having learned words and music at regular rehearsals and at home, you will be able to join in your first concert. Our learning aids on the internet are very important as practice tools over and above the regular weekly sessions. You will find a warm welcome awaiting you, and you can expect to get a lot of support and encouragement from a friendly social group of men who just love to sing.
