In 1968 a small group of workers from the nearby British Aircraft Company formed a choir known as the ‘Filton Glee Club’. As numbers grew the choir changed its name to the ‘Filton Male Voice Choir’ and was soon recognised for its high standards of performance. In 2007 the Choir changed its name to the ‘Bristol Male Voice Choir and continues to draw choristers from the local area catering for all musical tastes, singing everything from pop classics, gospel songs,  musicals, Mozart, sea shanties, and 'Male Voice' Classics.
