Q. Do I need to have previous experience of singing in a choir?
A. No, many of our members have not sung in a choir before joining us.

Q. Do I need to be able to read music?
A. No, many of our members don’t read music when they start, however some pick up
some valuable tips in rehearsal.

Q. Will I have to be auditioned?
A.There will be a simple, informal voice test to determine which section of the choir your
voice is best suited too.

Q. What kind of music does the choir sing?
A. The choir sing a mixture of music from classical pieces through to songs from the shows
and popular music. The repertoire is always changing and several new pieces are learnt each
year.

Q. What help will the choir give me as a new member?
A. Each new member is assigned to a mentor who helps with music in rehearsals and also
introduces you to other members of the choir.
